Dr. Michael Mah graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2002 where he was placed first in the final examinations and was awarded the University Bronze Medal. Thereafter, Dr Mah underwent 3 years of training to specialize in orthodontics at the same University. After graduation, he served both as a Consultant at the National University Hospital Dental Centre and as an Assistant Professor with the Discipline of Orthodontics at the National University of Singapore where he was involved in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Orthodontic training.
Dr Mah is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine of Singapore and has served in various capacities within the executive committees of the Association of Orthodontists (Singapore) and Singapore Dental Association. In addition, he is also a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
He has a passion in the application of skeletal anchorage for the treatment of complex malocclusions such as open bites, reverse/under bites, gummy smiles, impacted teeth and non-extraction treatment. Since 2010, he has been invited to speak and share his experiences at international and regional orthodontic congresses. In addition, he has also presented and published his research work internationally.
Dr. Tan is a graduate from the University of Adelaide. During her time in Australia, Dr. Tan has gained great exposure in the public sector while working in various parts of Australia, including the rural areas.
Dr. Tan looks forward to working with people of all age and enjoys the interactive aspect of working as a dental surgeon. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Teochew which adds a personal touch during her communication with elderly patients. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to make her patients always feel comfortable and bring joy to them during treatment. She hopes that through the enjoyable dental experiences, patients can take ownership of their dental health by coming for routine checkups and maintaining their oral health at home.
Ms. Nikkie Ong is responsible for the day to day operations of the clinic and undertakes a variety of tasks to fulfil this important role. Having received formal education as an engineer, she is well trained to find solutions to all our patients' concerns and ensures that their treatment is well coordinated. This allows for treatment to progress effectively and efficiently which is the core of our clinic's philosophy. In addition, she listens patiently to patients' feedback on the quality of the treatment and provide immediate solutions to ensure that all patients of Neua Dental enjoy experiential clinical and holistic success with our dental treatment.
Our Dental Nurses with a combined total of more than 10 years of experience working in dental clinics are tasked to ensure that optimal sterilization and disinfection of the instruments and equipment are always carried out. Instruments are firstly cleaned with detergent and subsequently go through various stages sterilization from cold to ultrasonic sterilization and packed in barrier pouches prior to high heat and vacuum sterilization. In addition, dental chairs are always disinfected and used disposable items replaced with new ones after every patient.
